Richard has been a board director of Opyn since 2022 and joined as CEO in April 2024. In his role as CEO, Richard is responsible for the overall growth of Opyn Health.

Before joining Opyn, Richard served as senior vice president of innovation, strategy and sales for Walmart Health & Wellness where he was responsible for overseeing the strategy management team; continuing to form innovative partnerships, including business development of new Health & Wellness initiatives, and led sales and account management across Health & Wellness for new customers growth and offerings.

Prior to joining Walmart, Richard spent 10 years at Anthem, most recently serving as the head of integrated growth verticals, supporting the commercial and specialty business division. Richard started his career at Anthem as the head of National Labor & Trust and was then promoted to vice president of large group segment strategy. In addition, he has spent more than 25 years in the healthcare industry where he worked in several sales and account management leadership positions driving innovative and profitable growth.

Richard received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science / History from Wittenberg University, Springfield, Ohio.
